Donations & Volunteer Opportunities

If you would like to help, there are a variety of opportunities to donate goods, services or monetary gifts. 

Monetary Donations:

Monetary gifts to help us provide scholarships to individuals with Down syndrome through Reins of Life, Camp Millhouse, music therapy, mini grants for families to buy needed therapy equipment.  In addition, we use monetary gifts to help a family whose child is in the hospital, supporting Down syndrome research, and purchase materials used to provide education and information to families and the community. 

We are an organization staffed by parent volunteers, so 100% of your donation goes directly to helping individuals with Down syndrome. Any amount is greatly appreciated.  Here are some examples of what your donation can provide.  

• $350 provides a scholarship for one week at Camp Millhouse
• $120 provides one person w/a scholarship for an 8 wk session of therapeutic horseback riding at Reins of Life.
• $85 provides a scholarship for one month of music therapy.
   

Goods & Services:
 

• We have a calendar featuring members of the Michiana community who have Down syndrome. We use this calendar as an awareness tool, and would greatly appreciate any donations towards producing the calendar so that we can keep it affordable ....donations of professional photography services, paper/printing and assembly of the calendars would be very much appreciated.
• Donations of paper/printing for our informational brochures would be appreciated.
• We also give gift bags to families in the area who have a family member with Down syndrome (newborn or new to area).  The bags contain information about Down syndrome, state and community resources, a toy, T-shirts, books about Down syndrome. We give each newborn baby with Down syndrome a handmade blanket.
  Donations of homemade blankets, toys, or monetary donations for "Welcome' Bags would be much appreciated.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
